How to Indulge in Healthy Canna-Snacking

We're getting real about smoking and snacking. Don't worry, you won't eat yourself to death.

The munchies are a thing of the past. We’re canna-snacking now, and we aren’t finishing tubs of ice cream every weekend (okay, maybe sometimes).

Myth: Smoking cannabis will make you eat everything and you will gain lots of weight.
Reality: Smoking cannabis can make you feel a little snack-ish, but will mostly just make good food taste even better!


There’s a lot of stigma around the idea of “munchies,” and it can deter even the most curious of women from trying cannabis. We’re here to tell you to rest easy, because the munchies won’t have you inhaling an entire bag of potato chips.

In fact, we don’t even think of them as munchies, because of the negative connotations the word has acquired. We like to think of it as “canna-snacking” because of the way cannabis brings out all the best flavors in your favorite foods.

Indulging in delicious food while consuming cannabis doesn’t have to end in a guilt-fest. We believe it can become an interesting way to expand your culinary palette instead, and transform ordinary meals into an exciting delicacy.

With a little planning and determination, you can use cannabis to help you enjoy foods you wouldn’t normally try, and take your snacking to a whole new level. And Venna is here to show you how.

Stock the fridge with healthy snacks.

This may require a bit of pre-planning, but trust us, it’s well worth the extra trip to the store! Picking up a few healthy things you know you like will make all the difference. When you find yourself opening the fridge, you’ll be excited to enjoy the veggies you might usually save for dinner.

We recommend stocking up on celery (with Justin’s Almond Butter spread on top, it’s practically a dessert!), carrots with hummus, or pomegranate seeds, because you can eat a lot of small pieces without filling up on sugar and carbs.

If you’re in the mood for something salty…

(Let us take this opportunity to stress the importance of hydration, especially when eating salty foods and consuming cannabis! Make sure you have plenty of water, maybe with some fresh lemon slices dropped in, to keep you healthy).

Try this toasted goat cheese and apricot treat topped with fresh cherries!

It’s simple to make, yet incredibly delicious. If you’re in the mood for something sweet but don’t want to crack open the Oreos, whip up this unique take on a grilled cheese and get ready to be surprised by how well the flavors work together.

To make this delicious toast:

-Simply cut a fresh baguette into one-inch slices (cut however many pieces you want to make), and pop them in the toaster.

-While you wait for the bread to warm, slice up an apricot into thin pieces, and chop your cherries into small chunks around the pit.

-After the bread is finished toasting, spread your favorite goat cheese on top, and add the apricot slices. Finally, top with a few cherry pieces, and revel in your masterpiece!


Okay, we know that after a long week of being a strong, powerful Venna woman like you, the thought of making anything with more than one ingredient can seem like the most tiring thing in the world. So, if you’re looking for a simple snack that will taste amazing with your Venna pen, keep reading. Don’t swear off canna-snacking just yet!

Eat berries. Just trust us.

Seriously, berries are the perfect snack for cannabis consumers. They’re healthy, easy to prepare, and won’t leave you with a stomach ache, even if you get a little carried away and eat the whole bowl (of which we are definitely guilty).

Try freezing blueberries or raspberries (maybe with a bit of sugar sprinkled on top) for a frozen treat, or toss a handful into a cup of organic greek yogurt. Or, just rinse and fill a bowl with as many different kinds as you can find in the fridge for a refreshing treat.

Our favorite thing about indulging in delicious foods while consuming cannabis is how much we savor each bite. Eating something as simple as a perfectly ripe strawberry with your Venna pen can make your experience with cannabis as tasty and delightful as your Venna oil.


Though its important to put good food into your body, sometimes you just want to eat what you’re craving. And as supporters of self-care, and enjoying the smallest moments of life, we don’t think you should hold back from allowing yourself your favorite junk foods from time to time (especially because it will taste ten times better after inhaling from a Clean & Exquisite pen).

So, if you really want that pastry:

Treat yourself.
